Courant Community, a free edition of the Hartford Courant, will publish its last edition next week according to a report from Patch Media. The free-newspaper will cease publication after their January 18th edition according to employees at the newspaper.
Courant Communtiy began in 2015 when The Hartford Courant purchased Vernon-based Reminder Media, a newspaper started in 1949. The paper represents the last remnants of Reminder Media. News of the paper's demise was not confirmed by the media conglomerate Tribune Publishing, owner of the Hartford Courant and over a hundred other papers nationwide.
