WATERBURY SCOOP: New Restaurants Coming Soon!

Two new restaurants are coming soon to Waterbury! A halal-steakhouse is planned for a vacant Italian restaurant and a new latin-fusion chain is planned for an old cajun restaurant!

-Kanoon Smoked Meats and Steakhouse is coming soon to the former Nino's Trattoria at 91 Scott Road! This will be the restaurant's third location, with existing locations in New Jersey. The restaurant LLC, Kanoon 3 CT LLC, is owned by Husameddin Daoud, Abdalghani A Elejjo, and Ahmad Alissa. No timeline has been announced for the opening.

-Mamajuana Cafe is coming soon to the former Red Crab Juicy Seafood / Ninety Nine restaurant at 950 Wolcott Street! The restaurant has completely gutted and renovated the former restaurant including a new main entrance. The restaurant now has 9 locations throughout the United States, this will be the first in Connecticut. They plan to open this summer!
