MGM is reportedly exploring the sale of their casino in Springfield, Mass! The casino has struggled since its opening in 2018.
The casino was planned to spark a new development boom in Downtown Springfield, the casino was supposed to serve as a major draw for downtown traffic. It was thought to be a major threat for CT’s Mohegan Sun & Foxwoods; with both casino planning to collaborate on a now-cancelled East Windsor casino. MGM has struggled with lackluster slot and table revenue, and even before construction finished had scaled back planned casino and hotel space. A Kringle Candle Emporium opened with the casino in 2018, but closed permanently during the COVID-19 lockdown. Do you think Foxwoods or Mohegan Sun will purchase the casino? Have you ever visited MGM? What did you think?

A casino that is family friendly with an indoor / outdoor water park and shopping would draw families to stay overnight at local hotel venues..its nearby on Interstate 91, and nearby train and bus routes
