Stew Leonard's could be coming to Orange! The grocery store chain confirmed that they are in talks to open a new location at the former Christmas Tree Shop at 200 Indian River Road. Stew Leonard's usually require 60,000-80,000 square feet of space, the former Christmas Tree Shop is roughly 53,000 square feet. The space could be expanded by taking over some of the adjacent tenant space. The former Christmas Tree Shop is currently home to Bargain House Furniture, a short-term tenant. Stew Leonard's currently has 7 locations including Danbury, Newington, Norwalk, Yonkers, Paramus, Farmingdale, and East Meadow. The store will open their 8th location later this month in Clifton NJ, The store had tried unsuccessfully to build an Orange location in the past, the land is now home to a Fedex Freight Hub.

I’ve always loved their fresh produce, unique products, and friendly service. Having them in our community would be a game-changer for grocery shopping. The space at the former Christmas Tree Shop seems like a perfect spot—they'd fit right in! Leave a Reply. |
