Duck Donuts is planning their first CT location in Orange! The Pennsylvania-based donut chain will occupy the former Smoothie King space at 350 Boston Post Road! Duck Donuts will renovate the former smoothie shop into a full service donut shop! The shop will not feature a drive thru as the former Smoothie King did. Duck Donuts currently has over 130 locations throughout the US and Canada. This will be their first Connecticut location. The chain joins 7 Brew Coffee, Ziggi's Coffee, and Aroma Joe's Coffee as they try to break into the competitive CT coffee and donut market.

As someone who has visited Duck Donuts elsewhere, I'm extremely excited about their new CT location! The experience of watching your donut being made fresh right in front of you is simply delightful. Hearing that Duck Donuts plans to open its first CT location has me reflecting on some of my favorite foodie memories from trips out-of-state. Those warm, freshly fried donuts topped with everything from sprinkles to bacon made every visit memorable. I often found myself simply enjoying the atmosphere as much as the treats themselves.
