NEW HAVEN SCOOP: New Japanese Market & Eatery to replace El Segundo

The Loop Japanese Grocery & Kitchen by Hachiroku is coming soon to The Audubon New Haven development at 367 Orange Street!

The new restaurant will occupy the former El Segundo space in the development, a latin street food restaurant that opened in 2020 and closed in 2023. El Segundo's Norwalk location is still open.

The Japanese market & restaurant will feature a small grocery sections along with a small dining room. The restaurant portion will be mostly takeout, with traditional Japanese cuisine similar to that found in their other locations.

Hachiroku has 2 other New Haven locations including Hachiroku Shokudo & Sake Bar at 261 Orange Street and Hachiroku Handroll Bar & Tapas at 966 State Street.
