The eyelash studio took over the former DAVIDstea space. Deka Lash is a chain with over 150 locations nationwide. -Golf Lounge 18 has officially opened their new virtual golf center at The Shops at Evergreen Walk! The lounge features 11 golf simulators, a large bar, food menu, and will feature a large outdoor patio behind Ben & Jerry's! The beauty store and studio occupies a portion of the former Clark's shoe store space next to Apple! Blue Mercury is owned by Macy's. -MySalonSuite has started construction on their new salon suites at The Shops at Evergreen Walk! The salon suites will open next door to Carhartt in a former homestore. Look for them to open this spring! -Starbucks is coming soon to Evergreen Walk! The coffee shop will build a new drive-thru location next to PeoplesBank! Construction has started on the site work for the new shop! -Chipotle is coming soon to Evergreen Walk! The fast casual Mexican chain will build a new location with a drive up mobile order pick up window called a Chipotlane! The building will be next to PeoplesBank! Construction has started on the site work for the new shop! -Club Studio, a new prototype gym by LA Fitness, is under construction in the former LA Fitness / Esporta Fitness space near Costco! The gym will feature small fitness studios like stretchlab, hot yoga, cycling, etc. Look for them to open later this year! -Spice Venue is coming soon to 221 Buckland Hills Drive, next door to Frank Pepe's! The India restaurant will occupy over 1,500 square feet in the plaza. The owners have 2 other locations, one in Hartford and the other in Storrs. The owners previously owned India Kitchen on Tolland Turnpike. -Teriyaki Madness is coming soon to 172 Deming Street! The restaurant is a fast-casual eatery featuring Japanese food! The chain recently open their first CT locations in Hamden and Enfield. -Hot Table Panini is under construction on their newest location! The sandwich shop will be located at The Plaza at Buckland Hills in the former Chosen One Cajun space! -Salsa Fresca is nearing completion at The Plaza at Buckland Hills! The fast-casual Mexican eatery will be located next door to Sweet Frogs! -The Shops at Evergreen Walk has changed management companies! The shopping center is now represented by Brand Street Properties and Brand Urban. The property was managed by Charter Realty and Brand Urban until last month. -According to their most recent leasing flyer, the former Pier One space is almost leased! The space is listed as "Lease Out' meaning the lease is awaiting the tenant's signature. Stay tuned for a new business! -Bob's Stores and Eastern Mountain Sports have started work on their long awaited renovation of the former Dick's space at the mall! Bob's Stores and EMS will remain open during the renovation. A new color scheme of grays and white have replaced the tacky blue, red, and orange color scheme. Unfortunately the openings to the lower level space will remain until the mall leases the space. -Total Fitness Equipment has relocated their store from Best Buy Plaza to Edge Fitness Plaza! The fitness equipment store is located in a newly renovated space next to Edge Fitness. -110 Grill is opening really soon! The restaurant will open in a newly constructed building at The Plaza at Burr Corner. The spa replaced Massage Envy; which moved to Evergreen Walk last year. Closing: -Toro Azteca has permanently closed their location at The Shoppes at Buckland Hills according to a statement from the owner. Court actions had been filed by the mall for back rent and damages totaling over $200,000. The pop culture / gaming store is located at 169 Hale Road, in the same plaza as Cost Plus World Market. Their Enfield location remains open. -Morning Star Christian Bookstore has permanently closed their Manchester location at 120 Hale Road! The bookstore was located next door to Christmas Tree Shop and Guitar Center. The bookshop has other locations in New Hampshire and Massachusetts. -Dick’s Warehouse Sale Store in Manchester is has closed their doors! The store opened in Fall of 2022 in the former Babies R Us at 169 Hale Road. The store was an outlet version of Dick’s Sporting Goods, which will remain open at The Shops at Burr Corner. -Seasonal stores at The Shoppes at Buckland Hills are closing, as was expected. Signs Etc, Lily's Holiday Store (Upstairs), Collectibles & Cards Holiday Store (Upstairs), and Go Calendar are in various stages of closing. They are expected to be back next holiday season. -Sunglass Hut has closed their longtime location at The Shoppes at Buckland Hills! The store moved to a new location at The Shops at Evergreen Walk. Other News: -The former Outback Steakhouse is on the market for redevelopment. The former restaurant is currently boarded up, with some demolition work underway. The listing says the site is ideal for retail, hotel, restuarant, gas station, or apartments.
