Open Houses Planned for Downtown Reconstruction Plan!

A presentation will be made by opponents of the planned Downtown Reconstruction Plan for Main Street. The presentation will take place on January 30th at 7:00 pm at the Army Navy Club at 1090 Main Street. Join Save Downtown Manchester, CT to stay up to date.

The town will sponsor 2 ‘open houses’ to ask questions and learn more about the project from town officials. These will be Thursday, February 8th, 2 pm - 7 pm and Friday, February 9th, 9 am - 2 pm.

The ‘blue sky’ conceptual plans show a road diet to Main Street. Shrinking the road from 4 lanes to 2 lanes and a shared turning lane on some parts. The conceptual plans include bikes lanes and more pedestrian space.
