Jem's Gardens in South Windsor has announced their permanent closure! The vegan/vegetarian eatery was located at 1062 Pleasant Valley Road.
The shop sold their 100% plant-based food, as well as their popular elderberry syrups and teas! The owners plan to continue business at farmer’s markets and other vender fairs, without a permanent location. The owner released the following statement on their social media: "Good Morning ! We have some news to share with our Jemmers. We have decided to close Jems in this location. Jordan has a new career as a mother. Which is the best job ever! I am so proud of her and the decision she has made. This location is too much for me to handle alone. It has been one of the hardest decisions we have ever made. 30 years here. Jordan and her cousins grew up here. I grew up here. Any way God has a new plan in store. I am following his lead. Once we get situated and figure it all out, we will let you know where to find us. Hopefully your local farmer's market to start. We want to thank everyone for the support of the years. So many of you have become important people in our lives. I thank God for the many blessings that have taken place over the years here at Jems. I know many more are to come! We will see you soon! With great love, Be well!"
