Pastrami on Wry, which closed earlier this year, will reopen next year with new owners! Pastrami on Wry closed without notice in July.
Pastrami on Wry will reopen in the former location on East Center Street. The new owners are a family, Miguel and Nancy Daigle Proano. Miguel is a veteran of Buffalo Wild Wings and Joey Garlic’s; he is also a proud father of two. The owners bought the restaurant from former owner, Corey Wry, and closed on the purchase yesterday, November 29th. The owners aim to reopen the former restaurant on January 1st. The reopened-restaurant will retain their name according to their new website, www.pastramiwry.com , and aims to retain the menu according to a person close with the matter. Pastrami on Wry started 13 years ago at the corner of Cook Street and East Middle Turnpike in a small space before moving up East Center Street into a former paint shop; moving in along with a liquor store. The original Pastrami on Wry has been home to Kenny's Restaurant, now Taso's Eggsellent Adventure. Corey Wry started his career with his first restaurant in Manchester, Pastrami on Wry, before expanding to open Corey's Catsup and Mustard on Main Street; then opening CW's Chops and Catch on Hartford Road. Chops and Catch closed six years after it opened, sold to become an Italian restaurant. Catsup and Mustard closed in September and is still for sale on BizBuySell.
