Finally got to try out Good Times Coffee House in Willimantic! The coffee shop is located at 1548 Main Street, across from Papa’s Pizza and the DMV.

I tried the Brown Butter Caramel Latte and a Turkey Panini. Both are delicious (still eating as I write this!) The coffee shop has a cool/chill vibe with low music. I definitely recommend!

Dad’s Doughs is NOW OPEN in Mansfield! The new mini-doughnut shop is located at 483 Storrs Road in Mansfield; the historic former Town Garange.

The new shop sells a large variety of mini doughnuts including S’mores, Fruity Pebbles, Dulce De Leche, Cinnamon Sugar, PB&J, and many more!

The shop sells Baronet Coffee with various flavors, Hosmer Soda, and Mountain Dairy milk products. The shop will sell gluten free doughnuts made by a dedicated bakery in Massachusetts.

The shop is owned by local restaurateur Lucas Ahern and local businessman Anthony Raggi.

The shop is open daily from 7am-2pm.

Mofongo Restaurant in Willimantic will open on Thursday November 21st at 11:00am!

The new restaurant will be located in the former Friendly's at 1405 Main Street. The restaurant will be 2,100 square feet, with seating for 30 to 40 people serving popular Puerto Rican cuisine!

Mofongo starts with a flavorful base of golden plantains, garlic, and pork cracklings, mashed into a savory dish. From there, you can choose from a variety of proteins like chicken, shrimp, pork, or steak, each prepared in a unique way, blending Puerto Rican tradition with American flavors for a one-of-a-kind meal.

Ollie's Bargain Outlet is NOW OPEN in Willimantic!

The new bargain close-out store is located at 1589 West Main Street in Willimantic, the former Ocean State Job Lot space in the Plaza with BJ's.

The store offers discounts on many items, at up to 70% off the big store prices. The chain has over 500 stores across the country with over 50 new stores coming soon. The chain recently purchased 15 store leases from Big Lots including the Newington location. 

The retailer now has 4 locations in Connecticut including Manchester, Waterford, Willimantic, and Barkhamstead; and one coming soon in Newington!

The store is open Monday-Saturday 9am-9pm and Sunday 10am-7pm. Check them out!

4 Keys CrossFit is now open in South Windham!

The new CrossFit studio is located at 661 South Windham Road. They offer CrossFit classes, expert training, and judgement-free workouts.

Make sure you check them out! They had their grand opening and ribbon cutting on November 2nd.

The new java junction features typical espresso-based coffee beverages, drip coffee, spiced and regular hot chocolate, cold brew, herbal tea, lemonade, and more. Their fall specials include Brown Butter Caramel Latte, Spiced Apple Tea, and Spiced Pomegrante Punch.

The coffee shop has a food menu as well, featuring paninis (bread from Little River Bread Co in Danielson) like turkey, ham, caprese, prosciutto, roasted veggies, chicken pesto, avocado, and chicken salad. The menu also includes a salad, avocado toast, cinnamon rolls, pop-tarts, muffins, banana bread, and scones.
