Shah's Halal Food is NOW OPEN in Waterbury! The new Halal restaurant is located at 130 Scott Road in Waterbury, the former Sofra Turkish Grill space. Sofra is planning to reopen in the Farmington/West Hartford area. The Waterbury restaurant is part of a rapidly growing chain of eateries. The restaurant serves gyros, falafel, burgers, chicken, fries, and baklava. They are a late night option, open to midnight or later. Shah's Halal in Waterbury is open daily from 10am to 11pm A second Shah's will be opening in the coming weeks at 1051 Wolcott Street in Waterbury under the same franchisee. Shah's has Connecticut locations in Middletown, Vernon, Bristol, East Hartford, Hamden, Newington, New Haven, Stratford, Bridgeport, Orange, Danbury, Stamford, Norwalk, and Winsted.
