Ocean State Job Lot has purchased the former Bernie's Plaza in Waterbury!
In a sale recorded on April 3rd, Ocean State Job Lot ('OSJ of Waterbury CT - Wolcott LLC') purchased the property at 855 Lakewood Road from 'Stop & Shop Supermarket Company LLC'. Ocean State purchased the property for $5.8 million with plans to relocate their store to the vacant 37,000+/- square foot space. The sale included the main building (currently home to the vacant space for OSJL and Planet Fitness), Wheeler Clinic, and a proposed pad site. The existing Ocean State Job Lot building at 771 Lakewood Road, just a stones-throw away, was listed for sale or lease by TrueCRE last year. At the time of the listing, Ocean State Job Lot announced plans to relocate once a sale was complete. No timeline has been announced for their relocation.
