The new cookie shop has officially opened their doors at 939 Wolcott Street in Waterbury! They are located next to Petsmart in the Stop & Shop plaza. A soft opening and ribbon cutting was held yesterday. The shop is known for their creative and delicious cookies! The chain now has 19 locations throughout Connecticut including Manchester, Avon, West Hartford, North Haven, Milford, Danbury, Stamford, Fairfield, Waterbury, and Shelton. The plaza has seen a bit of resurgence in the past few years. Stop & Shop relocated to the former ShopRite store from their old location. Petsmart relocated to the former Royal Buffet space. TJ Maxx moved back to the former Crunch Fitness from Brass Mill Commons; TJ Maxx previously occupied the space before relocating. Aspen Dental is also planning a new office in the plaza. Crumbl has set the opening date for their new Waterbury location!
The new cookie shop will officially open their doors on Friday, November 7th at 939 Wolcott Street in Waterbury! They will be located next to Petsmart in the Stop & Shop plaza. A soft opening and ribbon cutting will take place on Thursday, November 6th. The shop is known for their creative and delicious cookies! The chain currently has 9 locations throughout Connecticut including Manchester, Avon, West Hartford, North Haven, Milford, Danbury, Stamford, Fairfield, and Shelton. The plaza has seen a bit of resurgence in the past few years. Stop & Shop relocated to the former ShopRite store from their old location. Petsmart relocated to the former Royal Buffet space. TJ Maxx moved back to the former Crunch Fitness from Brass Mill Commons; TJ Maxx previously occupied the space before relocating. Aspen Dental is also planning a new office in the plaza. A new grocery store has opened in Waterbury! Food Universe Marketplace by Key Foods has opened their doors at 96 Grove Street in Waterbury. The building was originally built to house a Key Foods, but sat vacant for years before opening last week at their sister-brand Food Universe Marketplace! The new grocery store brings fresh produce, a deli, prepared food, fresh meat & seafood, baked goods, floral, and a large variety of groceries to Waterbury. The store officially opened their doors last week. Find them at 96 Grove Street in Waterbury! The store is open daily from 7am to 9pm! 
Something sweet is coming (back) to Brass Mill Center in Waterbury!
Cinnabon is planning their return to the food court at Brass Mill Center! The cinnamon roll shop will return to their space at the mall according to the mall's website. Cinnabon closed their location in late 2024/early 2025, but will soon reopen under a new franchisee! The restaurant originally opened in 2018. An exact opening date was not immediately available.

Price Rite is part of the Wakefern Food Corporation, parent company of ShopRite, The Fresh Grocer, Fairway, Dearborn Grocer, and other brands. Most locations are locally owned and operated, Wakefern is a cooperative company, similar to IGA. ShopRite, sister-company to Price Rite, previously operated a location up the road in Waterbury. Crumbl is coming soon to the plaza! As we've previously reported, Crumbl will occupy the former Dr.Dental space between Petsmart & Goodwill. Construction will underway with an opening later this year. Aspen Dental will open a new branch in the plaza. The new dental office will occupy the former GameStop in the parking lot. Aspen Dental is one of the largest Dental chains in the United States, they currently have an office on Chase Avenue in Waterbury. These new businesses will bring the plaza to full occupancy! Latest additions including TJ Maxx, Stop & Shop, and Petsmart has bolstered the plaza's occupancy in recent years.
Calling all Muggles! It's Harry Potter Day at Hardcore Sweet Bakery in Watertown! The bakery located at 619 Main Street is offering some Wizard-themed sweets along with some fun events! Events include face painting, live tattooing, palm reading, tarot card reading, special guests, and giveaways! Join them from 12pm-7pm! Some of their Harry Potter-themed desserts include Butter Beer Rolls, Cauldron Cakes, Harry's Birthday Cakepops, Golden Snitchs, and much more! The new Burlington store at Brass Mill Commons has set their opening date!
Burlington will open their new store on August 22nd at 185 Union Street, relocating from their current location at Brass Mill Center. The store replaces TJ Maxx in Brass Mill Commons, TJ Maxx relocated to Mattatuck Commons. The new store will host a grand opening celebration on August 22nd and 23rd. The first 100 customers on both days will receive a $10 gift card towards their purchase. |
