By Jean-Luc Dube Checked out Toby's Restobar again in Vernon, roughly 6 months since my last visit.
The restaurant is located at 295 Hartford Turnpike, the former Wang’s Buffet space in Ocean State Job Lot Plaza. The restaurant opened in Vernon last year; moving from their longtime home in East Hartford. I got the Pollo Saltado, a stirfry of chicken, onion, tomato, and soy sauce. Served with rice and fries. Very delicious, nice mix of spices and sauce. My friend got the Bistec a Lo Pobre, a steak with eggs, salad, rice, and fries. He said his meal was excellent as well. Since my last visit, they’ve added new signage, new decorations, and updated their menu. All positive improvements for the new restaurant. The menu also has live music and events. Will definitely be back. The menu now features breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Find Peruvian dishes featuring beef, chicken, seafood, and more. Find their menu here: https://www.toasttab.com/.../r-f986407a-a2ac-4eba-9944... Make sure you check them out! They are open: Sunday 8:30 AM–10 PM Monday 9 AM–9:30 PM Tuesday-Thursday 9 AM–9:30 PM Friday 9 AM–2 AM Saturday 8:30 AM–2 AM
