ParkSide Pizza & Ice Cream has announced their planned closure, but the space won't be empty for long.
The pizza shop located at 270 West Street in Bolton will close its doors this Saturday, August 22nd according to a post on their social media. A farewell night with live music by Hardwood and a cruise event will be held this Friday starting at 5pm. The building won't be empty for long. Square Peg Pizzeria will be moving into the iconic space. Square Peg has retained most of the staff, so you will see the same friendly faces. The locally-owned chain operates pizzerias in Vernon, Storrs, Berlin, Glastonbury, East Hartford, Preston, Plainville, Shelton, and Delray Beach FL. With very mixed emotions, we’re announcing that Parkside Pizza & Ice Cream will be closing its doors on Saturday 8-22-26. This restaurant has been so much more than a place to eat. It has been a gathering place for friends, families, celebrations, first dates, birthdays, cruise nights and countless memories. We’ve had the incredible privilege of being part of so many of your lives, and for that, we will be forever grateful. To our amazing customers: thank you. Thank you for every meal, every conversation, every kind word, and every time you chose to spend your time with us. To our incredible staff: thank you for everything. You are the heart of this place, and we could never have made it this far without you.
