A new unique gelato shop and cafe has opened in Guilford! Thewave is NOW OPEN at 116 Whitfield Street, Guilford, CT.
The shop serves gelato is two sizes, small and large, in cups and sugar cones. Gelato can also served in waffle cones, helmet bowls, or on a surfboard bowl! Find multiple flavors of gelato on the menu, and try their affogato! On the menu you will also find espresso-based drinks like lattes, cappuccinos, chai latte, drop coffee, and iced versions of these as well! The new cafe has another function, it will train and employ young adults with disabilities. Wave is an acronym standing for: W - Work A - Advocate V - Value E - Empower The goal of the enterprise is to provide opportunities to young adults with disabilities. The shop will train and employ these young adults to help build skills for independence. The Wave is part of Sound Life Connections, a non-profit 501(C)(3) organiation.
