Starbucks closing Main Street location

Starbucks will be closing its downtown location.

An employee confirmed the closure of the coffee shop location at 995 Main Street after close of business tomorrow, September 27. Starbuck's has implemented a turnaround strategy due to declining sales which includes closing approximately 200 locations. The Main Street location was cited as underperforming. A remodel and reopening took place 2 years ago.

Starbuck's has several locations nearby including 3 in Newington at 14 Fenn Road, 3575A Berlin Turnpike, and 3265 Berlin Turnpike (inside Target), as well as in surrounding towns.

The space has been listed for lease by the landlord.
