Is In-N-Out Burger coming to Colchester? No, not so fast!
A 'Coming Soon' sign for In-N-Out Burger recently appeared outside of the Chipotle building at 131 Linwood Avenue in Colchester. It is an early April Fool's prank by someone in the area, not by us to be clear. The empty space next to Chipotle is still up for lease with Galaxy Development and no building permits have been filed for the space. Unfortunately, squashing West Coast transplant's dreams, In-N-Out Burger is not coming to Colchester. In-N-Out Burger has specific location requirements. Due to their use of only fresh burgers, each location can only be a certain amount of miles from their distribution centers. They are currently building a distribution center in Tennessee for a planned expansion in that area, ruling out any Connecticut locations for the forseeable future. Note: In case it wasn't clear, this was not our prank. We are just setting the record straight that the sign is a prank and In-N-Out is not coming. A number of our readers asked us to look into this. 7 Brew Coffee is planning a new location in Groton!
