A new grocery store is being planned for Waterbury!
Family Markets, LLC has leased the former PetSmart space at 425 Bank Street in Waterbury. The deal was announced by Godin Property Brokers. The store will occupy over 26,000 square feet of space next to Urban Air Trampoline Park. The space has sat vacant since PetSmart moved to Mattatuck Plaza Shopping Center in April 2024. The exact name of the planned grocery store has not been announced. 'Family Markets' is a moniker typically used by franchisees of ShopRite & PriceRite grocery stores, though a connection has not been confirmed.
