Big Y World Class Market is officially on the way to Orange!
The grocery store chain received approvals from the Town Plan & Zoning Commission to open a new location at 200-220 Indian RIver Road in Orange at their August 4th meeting. The store will occupy roughly 67,400 square feet according to the recently approved application. They will be located in the Colonial Commons shopping center in the space previously occupied by Christmas Tree Shop until their closure in 2023. The site was previously floated as a possible location for a Stew Leonard's, though those plans were never finalized and Big Y ultimately secured the lease. The grocery store was originally announced to open in Spring 2027 when the project was first announced in January 2026. An updated timeline was not immediately available.
