NEW HAVEN SCOOP: The Rooted Olive coming to Wooster Street

A unique new shop is coming to Wooster Street in New Haven!

The Rooted Olive is coming soon to 141 Wooster Street in New Haven, next door to Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana. The new shop will be a sister brand to Birch & Twine in Branford, an eco-friendly general store.

The new store will be rooted in tradition. In the old-world ritual of pressing olives, aging balsamic, curing meats, breaking bread, and pouring wine. It will honor the simplicity of ingredients that have nourished families for generations.

Offerings will include extra virgin olive oils with depth and character, rich balsamics, thoughtfully curated charcuterie, fresh crusty bread, and wines meant to be shared, not rushed.

The Rooted Olive is an extension of everything their sister shop Birch & Twine stands for: sustainability, intentional sourcing, small-batch quality, and connection. It’s the next branch of the same tree — still grounded in purpose, just expressed through flavor and experience. Birch & Twine is located in Branford, an eco-friendly general store and refillery with dry goods and small-business vendors.
