Sad news out of Branford as Home Restaurant has announced it will close its doors on May 31st after 14 years. The restaurant originally opened in 2012 at 114 Main Street in Branford. The menu consists of home-style comfort meals including 4 types of Mac & Cheese, Sandwiches, HOME-style dogs, salads, steak, roasted chicken, and much more. Owner Jared Schulefand said in a statement: "It’s amazing the outpour of love, support and shared memories we’re getting from both customers and staff dating back from 2012. I knew we were important to the community, but never realized just how big of an impact Home made on so many people. It was an incredibly hard decision to close, but unfortunately it’s the right one right now. It’s not goodbye, it’s see you later” Patrons are encourage to visit the owner's other restaurants including Supreme Seafood Restaurant in North Branford, NEBCO Kitchen at New England Brewing Co. in Branford, Olde World Apizza in North Haven, and The Shanty By Supreme Seafood in Branford.
