Beach Donut Shop has announced new plans to reopen their shoreline donut shop after a devasting fire earlier this summer.
The well-known donut shop will reopen its doors at 631 Boston Post Road in Westbrook, the former home of Shanya B's By The Sea. They are anticipated to reopen their doors soon according to their Facebook page. In an annoucement on their socia media they said: "After a few challenging months, we’re so excited to finally share the news: WE’RE REOPENING SOON. We’ve been working hard to get our new Beach Donut home ready, and we can’t wait to open our doors and welcome you back! New Location: 631 Boston Post Road, Westbrook, CT. Thank you all for your love and support along the way. Official opening date coming soon! We can’t wait to see you!" The business has been temporarily closed since a devastating fire destroyed the plaza on May 30th. Summer is typically the busy season for the donut shop, with eager beach-goers stopping in on the way. According to Zip06, the donut shop originally planned to temporarily open in the former Friendly's in Clinton; though those plans appear to be dead in favor of this new location.
