Come with us as we check out Connecticut's coolest thrifting destination and animal sanctuary!
Pandemonium Rainforest Project (PRP - R3 Thrift Shop) is an amazing facility at 112 Elm Street in Deep River, comprised of a mill building and several out-buildings. The main building is home to their thrift store and cafe. Complete with 2 full floors of thrifting heaven; the mill building sells second hand home goods, books, clothing, toys, and other collectibles. Hidden on the basement level is Cafe Ella, selling coffee/tea/cider, baked goods, and small lunch dishes to hungry thrifters. All of the profits from the thrift store goes to rescuing abused and abandoned animals. There are a number of small out buildings to explore and shop. Find your next favorite read in the Book Dome! Get ready to deck the halls in the Christmas Decoration Trailer. The animal sanctuary portion of the property features peacocks, turtles, goats, and an entire bird & reptile building. Step inside the bird & reptile building with a $5 donation (memberships are also available) and enjoy the sites and sounds of a rainforest. Find cockatiels, parrots, hyancinths, macaws, iguanas, snakes, frogs, and many more in this exhibit. Make sure you meet Rain, the very social bird! Come spend the day! Find them at 112 Elm Street in Deep River or make a donation online at https://www.pandemoniumrainforestproject.org/ The shop and rescue is open: Tuesday-Sunday 10:00am-5:00pm Closed Monday
