A new taqueria is planned for the former Rita's Italian Ice space!
Taqueria La Grande has received building permits to convert the former Rita's Italian Ice stand into a take-out taqueria. Work is underway to add a new commercial kitchen and front entrance to the former dessert stand. The eatery serves traditional Mexican cuisine including tacos, burritos, enchiladas, quesadillas, taco bowls, and much more. This will be their fourth Greater Hartford location. An LLC in connection with the restaurant purchased the building last year.
