MANCHESTER SCOOP: Town moving forward with negotiations for Main Street parcel redevelopment3/4/2026 The Town of Manchester voted to move forward with negotiations with Windsor-based GRAVA Properties for a potential development at 942 Main Street in Manchester, the former Tong Building parcel.
Plans are envisioned to include new housing, artist lofts, ground level retail, and dedicated spaces for art and a bike shop according to Downtown Manchester CT. The project would be centered around a courtyard with multiple restaurant, taking inspiration from the BOW Market in Somerville MA. The space would be designed to gather, eat, and linger. GRAVA is in discussions to bring on a local restaurateur to the project. GRAVA Properties focuses on Main Street and transit-oriented project. Their recent work includes Windsor's Founders Square which brought new small businesses to the heart of Downtown Windsor including The Lil' Plant Shop, The BOP Coffee Roastery, and Moneta Moments Bakery. GRAVA Properties is also working on a new apartment complete in the Thompsonville section of Enfield. Stay tuned for more information!
