MANCHESTER SCOOP: Town eyeing possible round-about on Main Street, conceptual rendering shared4/7/2026 
Town of Manchester & Downtown Manchester CT shared a rendering of what a new round-about could look like at the top of Main Street.
The conceptual look at a proposed roundabout at Main Street and Center Street showcase the rotary that will be designed to improve safety, reduce congestion, and create a more welcoming gateway into Downtown. The Town of Manchester recently applied for state funding through the LOTCIP program to help advance this improvement. What do you think of this potential project? Comment below!

i dont think any good thoughts about this project, being rammed down the throat of manchester residents. Its a pipe dream of the Democratic majority of the Town Board of Directors, in spite of not word of advance notice of the intentions of the Board to push this thru, by deceit and silence being used. With out any regard to the feelings of the town voters on this project. By not asking for any direct funding for the project from taxpayers in town. They are trying to fund it from state and federal grant funding, therefore avoiding a referndom vote on the plan.

Lets nope not. Its a boondoggle of a Democratic idea to waste our money , And just show people to immense power they have over the town residents. That at there whim they can change Main St. Just because they can , And don't give a dam about what the voters in this town want. Because they didn't ask for any money dirrectly.
