HARTFORD SCOOP: Carbone's officially reopens in Downtown Hartford

Carbone's has officially opened the doors of its new flagship location in Hartford!

The new restaurant is located at 39 Front Street in Hartford, the former Apple Cinemas near The Capitol Grill. The restaurant celebrated its grand opening this afternoon; marking the rebirth of a Hartford tradition after a 6-year hiatus. Restoring the Carbone's legacy in the city since 1938.

The space has been beautifully renovated into a beautiful Italian eatery complete with a spacious dining room with seating for 275 patrons, a spacious lounge, and private event/banquet spaces.

Returning with the restaurant is its signature tableside Caesar salads along with new dessert & entrees prepared tableside! The menu will feature traditional Italian favorites in the main dining room including salads, steaks, pastas, and much more. The opening represents a $3.75 million investment in Downtown Hartford including a $1.7 million low-interest CRDA loan, $500,000 loan from Connecticut Small Business Boost Fund, and $1.55 million in private financing. The restaurant will bring with it 70 jobs once operations are fully up & running.

This is the third location in Carbone's Hospitality's portfolio. Their other restaurants including Carbone's Kitchen in Bloomfield and Carbone's Prime in Rocky Hill.
