Carvel has closed its doors in Bristol.
The ice cream shop was located at 650 Farmington Avenue in Bristol, next door to Fresh Craft Grille. The ice cream shop is now permanently closed according to staff at Fresh Craft Grille. The chain ice cream shop served soft serve, hand-scooped ice cream, milkshakes, sundaes, and iconic ice cream cakes for birthdays and celebrations. The Bristol location joins other recently closed area shops in Watertown, Waterbury, and Naugatuck late last year. Those locations closed at the end of their franchise agreements with Carvel corporate. Both Carvel and Fresh Craft Grille have been up for sale for $2.195 million; including the businesses and real estate. The sale is now listed as 'Contract Pending' on Crexi.
