A local taproom has closed as the business shifts its focus to distribution.
Waypoint Spirits has closed its taproom located at 410 Woodland Street in Bloomfield. The taproom’s last day of business was August 12th. Fear not, you will still be able to find your favorite spirits. The taproom closure represents a shift in focus to distribution, allowing them to expand their reach to more restaurants and liquors stores through the state and beyond. The announcement reads: “After 5 years of pouring cocktails and having fun at the taproom, we've made the decision to close taproom operations as of August 12th, a shift that lets us put our full focus behind growing Waypoint's distribution across Connecticut and beyond. Our spirits will keep flowing: we're doubling down on getting Waypoint into more restaurants and liquor stores, both in-state and out-of-state. If you want to keep supporting us, do us a favor and ask for Waypoint Spirits products at your local establishments - that's the best way to help us keep growing! Thank you to every customer who walked through our doors, and a huge thank you to our taproom manager Chris for everything he's poured into this place.” Waypoint Spirits is a small-batch craft distillery founded in 2015. They specialize in hand-crafted, small-batch spirits that capture local flavors. Produces artisanal spirits including small-batch vodka, gin, rum, and whiskey; as well as a line of ready-to-drink canned cocktails.

Let me guess for those of us who recently got gift cards to the tap room they aren’t going to honor it with their products . Come on . If that is the case I will never buy a waypoint product

They are honoring gift cards and Groupons. Just send them a message and you can work out the details.
