A local landmark eatery in Bethel has closed its doors!
Sycamore Drive-In Restaurant has permanently closed their doors after nearly 80 years of business in town. The drive-in eatery closed on December 24th; they were located at 282 Greenwood Avenue in Bethel. The restaurant was originally opened in 1948; a drive-in/carhop style service with steakburgers and homemade root beer. The interior was dotted by juke boxes, black & white checkerboard flooring, and other retro elements. The closure of the local landmark is due to the restaurant's lease not being renewed according to an announcement on the restaurant's social media page.
