Demolition work is underway on the former The Wethersfield Diner in Wethersfield. The former diner will be demolished to make way for a new housing complex. The new complex will have 1 retail space and 18 apartments over 4-stories. The Wethersfield Diner permanently closed its doors in January after decades of business at 718 Silas Deane Highway in Wethersfield. The business opened in the 1950s, with the current business owner taking over in 2015.
