An Aldi store is being proposed for Stratford!
The grocery store would be located at Stratford Square, a shopping plaza located at 411 Barnum Avenue. The grocery store would be a new-construction building located directly next to Esporta Fitness/LA Fitness. The building would occupy land currently being used as a parking lot. The new store would be roughly 20,600 square feet. The project is currently with the Town's Architecture Review Board for their comments before it will move through Planning and Zoning approvals. No timeline has been announced for the grocery store's construction and opening has been announced. Stratford Square shopping center is home to Esporta Fitness/LA Fitness, Marshall's, Five Below, and many more. classic union-busting by the Stratford GOP, the same people who "delivered" the deal to allow a "food truck park" to take over an incredibly important parcel of land adjacent to environmentally very delicate beachfront. "Thanks Mayor Food Truck" (Laura Hoydick) you're just like Donald Trump. disgusting. Now you can move on to implementing the new laws of the "Trump Gang" that force women who were raped to have the rapist's baby. You are disgusting beyond words, Mayor Hoydick. disgusting beyond words.

and what a "clever" tactic used by the ruthless creeps at Brixmor Property Group - they leave the existing building there in dilapidated slum condition for a prolonged period of time, an intentional eyesore and community hazard, complete with shattered glass panels, to "soften up" the community, before unveiling and proceeding with their union-busting deal. Very clever - not an original tactic, has been used by many sleazy landlords to improperly impose their will on the local community.
