While doing some research for a post yesterday I stumbled upon a little bakery called Masa Artisanal Sandwiches inside of The Velvet Mill in Stonington. The bakery is located inside the Atrium in the mill complex. The menu features a fun twist on typical cuisine. I got the BLT, served on their house-made sour dough with a tomato jam, potato sticks, garlic aioli, and of course bacon-lettuce-tomato. It was a wonderful flavor profile! The bakery makes their own bread and pastries in-house. I watched as their bakery crafted their sour dough, baguettes, and tomato koji. The restaurant also serves breakfast, lunch, pastries, and more. Gluten free options are also available.
