SIMSBURY SCOOPS: New hotel approved, Farley's Pub expanding, and update on the Wagner development!

-Holiday Inn Express has been approved by the Zoning Commission for 1503 Hopmeadow Street in Simsbury! The hotel would feature 120 rooms spread over 3 floors. The project was proposed by the International Skating Center of Connecticut, located nearby, to serve as a prefer hotel for teams. Future phases of the new development call for restaurants and commercial tenants around the hotel.

-Farley's Pub has been approved to expand their Simsbury pub! Under the plans submitted to the Zoning Commission, the existing pub would receive a 1,348 square foot expansion, a 576 square foot deck, and updated signage. The pub is located at 1610 Hopmeadow Road in Simsbury.

-Chipotle is coming soon to Simsbury! The Mexican Grill will be located at 1263 Hopmeadow Road, the site of the former Wagner Ford dealership. The site will also be home to a new multi-tenant building at the rear of the site, and another restaurant with a drive-thru.

-It doesn't appear that Starbucks is still planning to open alongside Chipotle at 1263 Hopmeadow Road. The pad site formerly planned for Starbucks is now being marketed by Atlantic Retail alongside the new multi-tenant building that will be built in the rear of the site. Starbucks has closed 2 CT locations, alongside over 150 others, to realign with future company goals.
