A new independent bookstore has opened in North Canaan!
Whistle Pig Books is NOW OPEN at 62 West Main Street! The new bookstore carries gently used books - turning old pages into new adventures. The store celebrated their grand opening on Saturday, 10/18. The store has a wide range of genres including fiction, non-fiction, children's, young reader's, romance, sci-fi, fantasy, graphic novels, comics, and RPGs. The new bookstore is owned & operated by Thomas Wilson and his daughter Emily Peterson. Thom is a lifelong book lover and writer with hopes to share his passion for reading. Emily is also an avid reader with a deep love for community. Fun fact! A whistle pig is another name for a woodchuck or groundhog. The name comes from their high-pitched whistle that they emit to warn other colony members of a predator nearby. Find them at 62 Main Street in North Canaan! They are open: Thursday & Friday 12pm-6pm Saturday & Sunday 10am-3pm Closed Monday - Wednesday
