A new restaurant has opened in New Haven! Casanova has opened their doors at 278 Park Street in New Haven, next door to The Place 2 Be (former Gran Gusto). The new Italian restaurant offers a modern twist on rustic pizza, fresh pasta, and other dishes from Chef Joseph Iannaconne (son of Encore by Goodfellas co-owner Chef Gerry Iannaccone) and GM Giuseppe Passeggio. The restaurant's heart is its hearth, a wood-fired brick pizza over where pizzas get their flavor. The interior is lined with book shelves; brimming with novels as a nod to the restaurant's namesake Giacomo Casanova. Casanova was an Italian explorer, adventurer, and auther.
