A new coffee shop is coming soon to Downtown New Britain!
MOTW Coffee & Pastries will be opening a new location inside The Highrailer, a newly built residential development in Downtown New Britain, Connecticut. The development is located at 283 Main Street. MOTW Coffee & Pastris will occupy 1,695 square feet on the ground level of the building. The coffee shop features specialty espresso coffee including lattes, cappuccino, Americano, Cortado; as well as Matcha and Hot Teas. The cafe serves empanadas including chicken, beef, spinach, and samosa fillings. The menu also includes milk-cakes, muffins, cookies, cakes, and more. MOTW stands for 'Muslims Of The World', the menu has a Middle Eastern influence including Yemeni Chai, Egyptian Teas, Jasmine Pearls, Baklava, Burma dessert, Halal Empanadas, and other offerings. The chain currently has 13 locations across the Country with plans to expand further with franchises. They have a lone CT location at 296 Crown Street in New Haven that opened in 2024. No timeline has been formally announced for MOTW's opening. The Highrailer is a new development launching in Fall 2025 with 114 apartment; comprised of studios, 1-bedroom, and 2-bedroom units. The apartments are being leased by Daym Drops, a realtor & influencer. Link to the rental website in the comment section.
