Story and Soil Coffee will be closing their Middletown location in June. The coffee shop announced the closure on the Instagram today.
The coffee shop is located at 413 Main Street in Middletown, inside the Wesleyan RJ Julia Bookstore. The coffee shop has been a Downtown mainstay since they opened four years ago. An exact reason for the closure was not given; though the coffee shop stated the University opted to end their contract with them early. We’ve reached out to Wesleyan for a statement on their decision. Story and Soil will remain open in Hartford at 387 Capital Avenue. The coffee shop was recently recognized as one of the best coffee shops in the world. We wish them luck and hope to see them open a new location in Middletown! We will definitely see you in Hartford.
