A number of new restaurants are coming to Downtown Middletown! -The Bare Collection by BareSkin Beauty will be opening a new cafe/boutique/luxury spa at 62 Washington Street in Middletown! The cafe and beauty salon will occupy the former Powder Hollow Brewery space with plans to open this fall! -Shawarma Zone is now open at 560 Main Street, the former The Melted Madness space. The restaurant serves Middle-Eastern cuisine including shawarma, rice platters, falafel, baklava, and much more. They are open until 10am everynight except Friday & Saturday when they are open until midnight! -Acme Burger is coming soon to 584 Main Street. The burger restaurant is part of a newly redeveloped building on the main drag. Their menu features hormone & antibiotic-free Sonoma Mountain Beef burgers, Willie Bird turkey burgers, the plant-based Beyond Burger, Pacific Snapper, Ahi, buttermilk fried chicken, ice cream, & freshly prepared sides and salads. Look for them to open this fall, with a Columbus Day weekend opening planned. -A new dining option is still coming soon to the Wesleyan RJ Julia Bookstore at 413 Main Street! The name of the new business has not been announced, nor have I been able to find it. The new business replaces Story and Soil Coffee that was forced to close earlier this year when their contract was abruptly ended by the University.
