A new lounge & cafe is coming soon to Hartford! The Upstate Lounge & Cafe is coming soon to the former Tisane Cafe space at 537 Farmington Avenue in Hartford. Tisane permanently closed in May of 2024. The Upstate Lounge & Cafe describes itself as a neighborhood joint. Upstate NY but also Hartford’s West End. It’s a tumblr page of all the culture, food, drinks and people we love. The restaurant will feature bar food with an Upstate spin on the subject. Adult beverages including alcoholic & non-alcoholic. The home of Hanging Hills Brewing Company’s draft beers. (Yes they're back!) Some other beers too. The new lounge will also feature a cafe with that good coffee; just like their predessesor. Look for them to have live music from time-to-time as well! The new lounge will be owned by Joseph Ploof, the former owner of Hanging Hills Brewing Company! Hanging Hills was previously located at 150 Ledyard Street until 2020 when it closed with hopes to reopen in the future. Excited to see their beer make their triumphant return!
