AutoZone is planning a new store for Granby.
AutoZone has proposed the demolish of the house at 8 East Granby Road and the construction of a new 6,796 square foot building. The home at 8 East Granby Road dates back to 1882; and would be destroyed under these plans. The house stand across from the Granby Green, near Grassroots Ice Cream, in the center of town. The application was received by the Wetlands Commission on May 22nd, and it expected to be heard at the June 11th meeting of the Commission. Hell, no this is the Historic Zone which is on the National Register of Historic Places. Besides an ugly commercial building the driveway will be on East Granby Road at the point the road is marked off not to block Hungary Rd. The are traffic backups all the way east to Salmon Brook and you want to add traffic to this. Put is where Napa was or down near Stop and Shop and the other businesses. Let have a little class and respect the history of a Great town.

762 feet is niot large enough carquest is closed, if u whant to demolish something take down the BOA building on bank streat
