Under a proposal by Global Development and SunEV, a new electrical vehicle charging station and a cafe would be built on an undeveloped site at 1561 King Street in Enfield. The facility will be known as Off the Grid Solutions - Sun EV. The site would include 21 charging station with a solar carport. A new cafe and EV Knowledge Center would be built on the site. It would provide a lounge and restroom for car owners and other guests; alongside a Knowledge Center to leave about EV and solar products. The public hearing on the application was scheduled for yesterday, July 10th; but it was rescheduled until July 24th. Stay tuned for more information. This is one of a few Off The Grid Rapid Charge stations under development in CT. A similar charging station, cafe, and knowledge center is under construction in Marlborough.
