A new restaurant and cocktail bar is coming to Cromwell! The 1851 Kitchen & Cocktail Bar is coming soon to 150 Sebethe Drive in Cromwell, the former home of Taphouse 150/The OC Tavern. The name is derived from the year Cromwell was settled, 1851. The eatery will serve ‘New American’ cuisine (American food with global influences) with craft cocktails and a great beer selection too. Their tagline is “Vintage vibes, modern mixology.”Menu highlights include an 1851 NY Strip; Faroe Island Salmon; Brisket Burgers; Southern Caprese Salad; Ahi Tuna Tostadas and more. The restaurant will host community events, weekday specials like Tinis & Tots (truffle tots and martinis) and a pairing section of the menu dedicated to Fresca with four of their signature margaritas. There is a big banquet space to be called ‘The Melody Room’ with a baby grand piano as well for events with booking starting soon for the holiday season. They are anticipating an opening in October 2025. The restaurant will be owned by Jennifer Marozzi, who also owns award-winning Mexican eatery Fresca Tequila Bar & Grill in Colchester.
