CakeGypsy has announced her retirement and the planned closure of her Canton location.
The award-winning bakery will close this Saturday, November 8th. Though pre-orders will be accepted for pickup through November 15th. The bakery is located at 250 Albany Turnpike in Canton, CT. CakeGypsy has been won numerous awards in their many years of business. The bakery has over 60 different flavors including vegan and gluten free options. The bakery once had locations in Avon and Granby, and previously eyed West Hartford for an expansion. The owner's announcement reads: "Dear valued customers, After many wonderful years of sharing life’s sweet moments with you, it’s time for me to retire. It’s been an incredible journey filled with hard work, long hours, sweet memories and incredible customers like you. While it’s bittersweet to say goodbye, I’m excited to embrace a slower pace and start enjoying life alittle more. It’s been an absolute honor to be a part of your life’s special events and celebrations. I am deeply grateful for your loyalty and support over the years - you’ve made this journey truly special and I will cherish the memories forever. The last day for walkin store purchases at our 250 Albany Turnpike Canton store will be Sat. November 8th. However, we will be accepting preorders online at cakegypsy.com for pickups through Sat. November 15th. For those of you with our cupcake of the month cards, please stop in by this Saturday and you can use them up. If you’re unable to make it in, please contact me and I will be happy to reimburse you for the remainder of your card.
