Almost Famous Brewing has announced they’ll be closing their doors in East Granby.

The brewery will permanently close their doors on December 28th; the business opened their taproom in February of 2022. Almost Famous is located at 17 Kripes Road in East Granby; just minutes away from Bradley Airport.

Reservations and events at the brewery will be honored.

The announcement reads: “After lengthy deliberation and reflection, we will be closing our doors with the last day of operations being December 28, 2025. We want to thank each one of you for making our journey exciting and rewarding. Please join us as we will continue as usual with our food trucks, music and all calendar events through the end of the year. If you booked a private event, we will honor your reservation. If you have any questions regarding your reservation, please call us. We continue to explore different ideas and options for the brewery but can't guarantee where it will take us. We have many things to consider and evaluate with this incredibly hard decision. We will provide you with updates as we work our way through this difficult process. Our dedicated, l supportive and amazing staff look forward to being in your company and serving you throughout our final weeks. Please join us for a final cheers. We met so many amazing people and made many new friends along this ride. Two local drinking establishments are teaming up in Middletown!

The Bergen House taproom will reopen as Common Room, featuring both The Bergen House and Still Hill Brewery! The space will receive some renovations to mesh their concepts together. Common Room will be located at 725 Main Street in Middletown, next to Perkatory.

The combo will bring mead and beer under the same roof! Look for them to open this winter; including Bergen House’s annual luau!

Bergen House closed temporarily earlier this year, pausing operations. They did some renaissance fairs in the State during their pause. Still Hill Brewery is currently located at 1275 Cromwell Avenue in Rocky Hill; their facility is expect to move entirely into the Common Room space this winter.
