NEW LONDON SCOOP: IHOP cancels New London location

The IHOP planned for New London has been cancelled according to a notice send to contractors.

The IHOP restaurant was planned to open at 305 North Frontage Road in New London, the former Restaurant Junction / Shaking Crab restaurant.

The plans for the restaurant hinged upon the approval of cutting the property taxes for the property. The tax cuts were not approved. The chain will continue to look for other possible sites in the New London / Groton area.
