NAUGATUCK SCOOP: Chipotle coming soon!

Chipotle Mexican Grill is coming soon to Naugatuck! The Mexican grill will be built at 112 Bridge Street, the former home of Eastern Company. Demolition work has started on the site including the removal of the existing office building.

The project was approved back in April of 2023 for the demolition of the existing building and the construction of a new 6,690 +/- square foot building on the site.

Chipotle is planned to have a 'Chipot-lane', their mobile-order drive thru. The restaurant will also feature a large outdoor patio and charging station. Original plans for the building showed a Hartford Healthcare Urgent Care Center joinging Chipotle, it's unclear whether the still plan on opening at the site. The site was originally plans for Wendy's years ago, those plans were eventually cancelled.
