MERIDEN SCOOP: Longtime tenants closing at Meriden Mall, Pickleball coming!

The Meriden Mall is continuing its downward spiral with the closure of a long time business, planned closure of another national retailer, and the cancellation of an entertainment tenant. A pickleball facility is also nearing completion.

-Harry’s Eatery, an eatery inside the mall, has closed their doors after 24 years. The eatery has been located next door to Pretzelmaker since 2000. The restaurant sold tea, coffee, soda, sandwiches, wraps, and more.

-Hot Topic has started store closing sales at their Meriden Mall location. The store is currently 30% off. The store is located on the second level near TJ Maxx.

-The 78 Dinner Theater has officially pulled out of plans to open in the mall. The construction site is now abandoned behind the barricade.

-Club Pickleball is nearing completion of their pickleball courts! The pickleball facility will be located in the old Old Navy / Meriden Library space near TJ Maxx. No opening date has been announce

These closing come on the heals of the closings of Forever 21, Dick’s, Praline, and Tokyo Express.
